The MSL program provides practical knowledge of legal and business concepts that can be combined with prior technical expertise to advance one’s career in an array of industries. I am leveraging my legal and regulatory knowledge to understand and shape the risk and control environment at Discover Financial.

— Antonia, MSL 2015, Lead Operational Risk Specialist, Discover Financial Services

As a medical student, I use the knowledge and skills I gained in the MSL program frequently. Whether the issues involve healthcare law, ethical decisions of patient care, improving the healthcare system, or using new technologies effectively, the MSL degree has given me a unique perspective and allowed me to make more informed decisions.

— John, MSL 2017, Resident, Northwestern Medicine

The MSL allowed me to become an interdisciplinary professional. I view problems from different perspectives, which really makes me stand out. I can integrate engineering principles and legal analysis at the same time. Not many engineers have this skill set.

— Scott, MSL 2016, Senior Mechanical Engineer, Microsoft
